Sheizana Murji has conducted an excellent interview with Ismaili scholar Dr. Azim Nanji for The Ismaili, the official website of the Ismaili community. This is an insightful conversation in which Shaizana asked the right questions covering all the aspects of the Imamat. Professor Nanji talks about the nature of the Imam’s authority in Shia Ismaili Islam, how the Imamat has impacted the global Ismaili community and wider society, and the all-important Imam-Murid spiritual relationship, including the concept of Noor. This is a must-watch interview with an outstanding and articulate scholar who has devoted a lifetime to Ismaili scholarship and contributed to the work of Imamat Institutions.
