One of my greatest joys is seeing Ismaili youth mingling among themselves in a spirit of friendship and happiness under one roof. I witnessed this yesterday, May 18, 2023, as post secondary and university students gathered at The Ampersand in downtown Calgary for Prince Hussain Aga Khan’s beautiful presentation of The Living Sea – Fragile Beauty Exhibition. The event was hosted by the University of Calgary and the auditorium was filled to capacity. Prince Hussain was accompanied by his ever-vibrant wife, Princess Fareen. The exhibition itself is at Glenbow at the Edison and concludes on Sunday, May 21, 2023 before it makes its final stop in Canada in Toronto during the week of May 22.

I hope to provide a complete report of the event including Prince Hussain’s insightful chat with the University’s Chancellor Jon Cornish in the coming days. My reliable Olympus camera failed me yesterday, with most photographs out of focus.
