The Ismaili, the official website of the Ismaili community, underwent a significant update this week. It now has a new look, including a new logo with the theme of Noor (Light). The website’s “The Ismaili Update” page features a monthly summary of events and news related to Mawlana Hazar Imam, His Highness the Aga Khan, his family members, and the far-flung Ismaili community. However, to keep the worldwide community informed about the Salgirah celebrations that are currently underway to celebrate his 88th birthday, it has just released a special video that describes a set of unique horse-related gifts that have been presented to Mawlana Hazar Imam on behalf of the worldwide Ismaili community. Interestingly, last week, Princess Zahra Aga Khan accepted, on behalf of her father, the Contribution to the Industry Award by Horse Racing Ireland, making this set of gifts to Mawlana Hazar Imam appropriate and meaningful!

While the Ismaili Update special edition video contains brief clips from Princess Zahra’s interview with Canada’s award-winning journalist, Farah Nasser, we urge you to watch the full interview through the YouTube Link below. The interview presents insightful and inspiring responses from the Princess regarding her work for Mawlana Hazar Imam and his futuristic vision — looking ahead 100 or 500 years in time. Her reflections as a mother about good human values to instill in young children and youth as they grow will surely resonate with all our readers and are heartwarming. I have never seen Princess Zahra as articulate as she has presented herself in this outstanding interview. Every youth and professional of the Ismaili Jamat and other communities must watch this interview to learn more about what goes into developmental projects and how they can contribute to a better world through their commitment and passion.

Princess Zahra, thank you for this wonderful and inspiring interview in which you talk so lovingly about our beloved Hazar Imam. And Farah, thank you for conducting a gracious interview with our beloved Princess.
