In October 2017, Prince Aly Aga Khan visited the north of Pakistan to learn more about the effects of natural disasters. During his seven day trip to the region, Prince Aly met with numerous families whose quality of life has been enhanced by the Network. This film, written, directed and voiced by Prince Aly, is his personal account of his discussions with the communities in the region and how the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) is partnering with them to find solutions to the problems caused by natural disasters.

God bless us all. I am engaged with Local Council for Chipursan and this family belongs to my council. The area is indeed at risk due to natural disaster but thanks to AKDN for its supports and rehabilitation work.

Very intresting short film from Prince Aly Aga Khan making the readers aware of the immense difficulties faced by the people of this stunning beautiful but harsh environment of the region. He is like the saying goes “chip of the old block.” Our Beloved Mawlaana Hazar Imam is very attentively listening to the people concerned and giving hope through the work already carried out by our Imami Institution AKDN. We whole heartedly support his endeavour and the initiative that Prince Aly has undertaken!

Very enlightening for Ismailis all over the world who do not have information about Gilgit, Hunza, Ishkumal, Punyal, Gupis, Yaseen and Chitral – Northern Areas of Pakistan. Aga Khan Network has done miracles indeed in this part of the world to raise socio economic standards of people living in these difficult and mountaineons areas.
Focus Humatarian have created awareness about natural disaster and practically helped when natural disasters occurred in Northern Areas of Pakistan,
Aga Khan Foundation and Aga Khan Rural Support Programme AKRSP have indeed done magnificent work in for the betterment of lives of people living in Northern Areas of Pakistan.
Prince Aly Aga Khan’s film and efforts will create more awareness and accelerate socio-economic progress of these most picturesque but difficult Northern Areas of Pakistan.
