Behold, the Light of Ali

By FARAH TEJANI

Just summoning Your Beloved Name,
All of my humble supplications are answered.
Oh Ali.

Ya Mawla, I beseech you,
Hear me and draw near.
My soul is thirsty,
I long to be close to You,
Draw near, I am waiting,
Ours is a bond forged eternally.

A moth driven by Your Radiant, Dazzling Flame,
I dance ever closer with endless passion,
Your Blaze Profoundly Singes my earthly wings,
And I draw closer, yearning more,
Still more.

Your Light is A Bright Watchtower,
Graciously Guiding all of our lost and broken vessels,
You Illuminate our lives with Omnipotent Splendor
With Wisdom Beyond This World.

From You everything is born,
Without You all ceases to exist.

A Swirling All-knowing Flame dances in Your Eyes,
Drawing humble and sincere tears from mine.
I am filled with Eternal Gratitude and Devotion,
I offer my lifetime of service and prayer.

Your Approving Smile is All-Embracing,
The Power of Your Love.
Endless Blessings You Preciously Bestow,
Khanavadaan, Khanavadaan, Khanavadaan.
My heart beats for Yours.
Ameen.

Murids travel, from all corners of the globe,
To receive Your Holy Noorani Deedar,
Showering You with Thundering Waves of Holy Salwaat,
Ripples upon ripples, to Your Most Gracious Shore.

Our Spiritual Father, Your Eyes See us all.
Each of us receives Your Light,
Your Grace is All-Encompassing.
Behold, His Majesty Shah Karim,
Oh Light of Ali.

For You I have an insatiable desire.
Yours is a Fountain of Blessings,
Your Mercy Unconditionally Falls upon me.
Cascading Showers of Benevolence.

You Forgive my shortcomings,
Upon You I rely for inner strength and salvation.
Oh, Light of Ali,
I am forever indebted, your humble servant.

Your Will for me is my devoted obligation,
Have Mercy on me and Protect me,
Oh Gracious One,
Guide me to Your Door.

Oh Ali,
I long for Thee eternally.
For I know I am Safe in Your Protective Embrace.
Oh Ali, draw near.

  2. Anticipating with longing and excitement the occasion of Idd e Gadir, your poem is most appreciated.

May it be requited with immense happiness and blessings. Ameen

On Idd e Gadir happiness turn into tears that ascend and emerge from the eyes with utmost haste and excitement to say Mubarak!
Glistening with hope and happiness at the prospect of seeing the beloved, exalted, Imam e Mubeen.

Yearning for the glimpse of His face and to see Him everywhere, to the extent that is permitted, which is like seeing the Infinite the way that a drop sees the ocean.

How can a humble moth withstand the blaze of the Majestic flame?

Through the Love and Protection and Guidance of the Noor of Hazrat Ali, the impossible will be made possible for the servant. Insh’Allah
