A devotional song with a very rare film clip to commemorate the 63rd Imamat Day anniversary of Mawlana Hazar Imam, His Highness the Aga Khan

Introduced by TAJDIN ESMAIL

On the auspicious 63rd Imamat Day Anniversary of our beloved 49th Imam, Noor Mawlana Shah Karim Al Husseini Hazar Imam, on behalf of all the participants and volunteers who assisted in the production of my “Diamond Jubilee Complete Album”, I convey our heartiest Imamat Day Mubaraki to all the members of our Global Jamat.

Originally, my “Diamond Jubilee Complete Album” was recorded in CD format so only the audio recording could be released in commemoration of the Diamond Jubilee Darbar held in Lisbon, Portugal, on 11th July 2018. Fortunately, we were able to produce a video version for one of my devotional songs “Lakho Salaam Ho Tere Naam” prior to 11th July 2020. So, we are indeed very fortunate to be able to release the combined audio/video version of this devotional song at the right time.

The video, which was edited by Alkarim Kermally, includes a very rare film clip of Mawlana Hazar Imam, starting at around the 36 second mark and ending at the 1:39 minute mark. The film was submitted to the editor for inclusion in this video by Riyaz Jaffer, whose own father shot the film. Other film clips and images that are shown in the video are from the official websites of the Ismaili Jamati and Imamat institutions. We acknowledge all of them with thanks. We hope that the readers of Barakah will enjoy this humble presentation.

May the Jamats around the world continue to receive Mawlana Hazar Imam’s bountiful blessings, and may our Mawla always keep every murid in his heart, thoughts and prayers. Ameen.
